Lewis came to Ireland from Wales, a name built on Llywelyn and carried across the Irish Sea by families who made Ulster home. This premium heritage woven blanket honors the Lewis family crest against the Irish National Tartan.
History & Heritage
The name spread widely through Ulster and Leinster, and two Lewises left a mark on how Ireland is read and remembered. Samuel Lewis compiled the Topographical Dictionary of Ireland in 1837, a parish-by-parish survey still opened by genealogists today. C. S. Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898, and the County Down landscape of his childhood ran through his writing for the rest of his life.
Woven Craftsmanship
Woven rather than printed — the crest and tartan are formed by the yarn itself, which is why the detail stays sharp long after a printed throw would have faded. 100% premium cotton, with traditional fringed edges.
