This premium heritage woven blanket honors the Langley family crest against the Irish National Tartan.

The Langley Name in Ireland

The name is built from the old English words for long and for a woodland clearing, and it records how medieval land was actually won — not in neat fields but in strips driven into the trees, cleared a little further each generation. Places called Langley followed, and families took their names from the places. Langleys came into Ireland with English settlement and are recorded across Leinster from the early modern period. For anyone tracing the line there is a practical point worth knowing: because the name arose at so many separate Langleys in England, the English side of the record is too diffuse to work backwards through. The Irish parish and civil registers are the firmer ground, and the search is better run forwards from here than backwards from there.

How the Langley Blanket Is Made

The design is constructed rather than applied — 100% premium cotton yarn woven into crest and tartan, edged with a traditional fringe.

Product Details

Material: 100% premium cotton yarn

Construction: woven, not printed

Available sizes: 52 × 37 inches, 60 × 50 inches, and 80 × 60 inches

Finish: traditional fringed edges

Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle; tumble dry low

Warm, substantial, and made to be inherited rather than replaced.

More for the Langley Family

The Langley family crest appears on mugs, apparel, ornaments, and wall décor elsewhere in the Celtic Ancestry Gifts collection.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0580/8573/6497/files/langley-irish-woven-blanket-family-crest-heritage-throw_1.jpg?v=1793355174
